Gieffeacciai joins UNSIDER: a strategic step towards regulatory excellence in the steel industry

Starting from January 1st 2026, Gieffeacciai will officially become part of UNSIDER – Ente Italiano di Unificazione Siderurgica (Italian Steel Standardisation Body), the national reference body for standardisation activities in the steel industry.

Joining UNSIDER represents an important strategic milestone for Gieffeacciai, confirming the company’s ongoing commitment to quality, innovation and regulatory compliance in the steel market.

Active participation in steel standardisation
Joining UNSIDER is not just a formality: Gieffeacciai will actively participate in the work of the technical subcommittees:

• SC20 – General Standards

• SC25 – Heat-treatable steels, alloy steels, free-cutting steels and stainless steels

This participation will enable the company to make a concrete contribution to the revision and development of European and international regulations directly related to the steel products marketed by Gieffeacciai.
